Hi guys,

Are any of you experiencing problems with Apple Music pausing music randomly?

I have all of my music synchronised to play offline, so I can hopefully assume that this is not a problem with cell/WiFi coverage.

The issue occurs on my 64gb iPhone 6 Plus when playing over bluetooth to my 2014 Prius and also to a pair of Beats Studio Wireless headphones. Music will only resume when I hit play again.

Any advice greatly appreciated. :)

Found this on the web. Worked for me:

"Even if you are playing offline music, when away from a Wi-Fi connection you have to allow Apple Music to use cellular data for it to work properly. This can be done by going into Settings>Cellular> Music app and enable (set to green). This will prevent it from pausing during playback as you travel through different network connections, e.g. 3G to 4G."

I've got that problem too and it's driving me crazy. I also had it before I turned of cellular connection for Music. I just don't want it to use data so I turned that of. No idea why it pauses but it seems to have decreased over the last few days. I hope this will all get fixed in an update soon.

Thanks for the reply - mine's already enabled yet the problem persists.

Very frustrating! :(

I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Like some of the others I have cellular data enabled for Music but I still get random pauses.

I've also had issues where the app freezes up completely or will randomly skip to the next song, although the latter has been happening well before 8.4 came out.

Same for me, it pauses and resumes randomly all the time, no matter if i am using wireless, 3G, LTE, or if i play songs from my library or if i stream them from the Apple Music...

The issue appeared 1 day ago, but i have no idea what the reason is. I didn't install any app or do anything unusual during this period.
This is extremlly frustrating!

As of today. I've had Apple Music been randomly choppy with stuff I'm trying to stream, it pauses and then starts and sometimes it remains paused.

Beats radio and the other radio stations are fine though and so is anything that I've made available offline.

The only thing that's changed on my iPhone is I installed iOS 9.1 on Wednesday evening.

I am curious if maybe it is a carrier issue? I have T-Mobile and have also been experiencing this issue. Although it only happens if I am not using my phones own speakers

I found that turning off "Hey Siri" has made the random pausing stop.

[doublepost=1507114747][/doublepost]I have a problem with Apple Music pausing when Bluetooth connected to my Mazda 6 from my iPhone 7. I simply resolve it by hitting 'Flight mode' on my Apple watch. I think Apple watch polls the phone every minute or so and because it also using Bluetooth it causes a pause. Given Apple's complete focus on wireless now I would like to see multi-channel Bluetooth capability built in as standard unless there is another setting I'm missing..

I had this problem for an album on iOS Apple Music. A couple of tracks would play, then it would stop, then it would randomly start playing again an hour later. I traced it to the encoding: the tracks were encoded as MPEG-1, Layer 3. I created an AAC coded version of the album which plays fine.
