I have had a recent anomaly with Apple Music on my iPhone 7 running IOS11. I normally add albums I'm interested in on iTunes on my Mac. What my problem is, is that the recently added music is not updating on my iphone. My ipad does it straight away without any issues, but for some reason, not on my iphone. It worked fine originally, but not sure if it was after an update or what but it just won't work. I've tried any number of things like turning Apple Music off, mobile data on and off etc. but the only thing that works is turning off icloud music. This is a pain in the backside because it wipes all my downloaded music for offline listening and then takes ages to reload my library. Not a solution that I'm happy with. Any suggestions as to how to fix this would be very much appreciated.

Does your iPhone allow you to add to library successfully, and then show on Mac and iPad?

I recently bought an iPhone X, wiped it with the current version of iOS 11 before setup, and now have the exact same problem. It's been very aggravating. In the past, I've found it's easier to add and organize music on my Mac, but this no longer works. I even tried a clean OS install on my Mac and iPhone X in hope that it would fix things, but the problem remains.

The only work around I've found is that downloading a new song on my iPhone gets the phone to update/sync the songs I've added to my Apple Music Library on my Mac. I still have to manually download the songs once they show up on the phone in my library, but at least the music shows on the phone.

I assumed it's a bug with the iOS for iPhone, as my iPad works flawlessly. Tempted to enter the beta or developer program just to see if the bug is fixed.

Yes, for me, it does work. Adding music on my phone updates my Apple Music library and pushes downloads to my Mac and iPad. It's the other way around that's the problem. Music added on my Mac doesn't even show on my iPhone, though it does show and automatically downloads on my iPad. I've toggled all the settings multiple times, wiped the phone twice, and the problem still remains.
