Now I know I won't keep YTMusic as I tried it again the sound quality improved a bit but I don't know how or why it is affecting my AM recommendations. Some albums and songs I listen to on YTMusic are showing up as recommendation on Apple Music.

I think it is annoying Google tracking me as this is only happening on the AM and YTMusic Android app. Desktop iTunes is not affected.

Some Southern gospel and Country which I like listened on on YTMusic on Android made AM recommend some of it.

I think my next phone is going to be an iPhone. I am considering it as I am tired of Google tracking me every where even in third party apps.

This would only work if Google were tracking your Apple Music usage, not vice versa. As far as I’m aware, AM does not plug into anything else that it could use to parse your listening/browsing habits that I could then use for recommendations. Likewise, AM can only use your ‘liked’ artists on initial setup, your listening habits and tracks/albums/artists you explicitly Love or Dislike within AM itself. (Happy to be corrected).

Assuming your AM music listening habits mirroring your YTM habits, similar algorithms could well be coming up with similar recommendations.

Positive thing on AM though it did not suggest all hip hop rap garbage that I listen to zero off. I do like southern country and gospel so it is better then recommending the new single from Travis Tritt not Travis Scott.

I hear you. Whilst my music tastes diverge highly from your own, its taken quite a bit of Love/Disliking within AM to have the For You page reflect what might genuinely interest me. Any many a time I've been pleasantly surprised and delighted by what new/unfamiliar to me music AM has presented me with. The Browse home page however....

Chill mix is mostly great suggestion Smooth Jazz which I listen to much off but New Music only suggested one new Smooth Jazz album which I enjoyed.
