I've been on the iOS 11 beta since July (iPhone 6s Plus), and in the early days I had access to the new social features in Apple Music. I don't remember which beta it happened for, but out of nowhere all of this disappeared (Friends are Listening To, my own profile, my friend's profiles, recommended friends, etc).

I thought with the GM it would finally reappear, but it never did. I even went so far as to downgrading back to 10.3.3 with an IPSW file, and upgraded to iOS 11 when it hit for everyone. Still nothing.

A friend of mine who was never on the beta upgraded to iOS 11 today, and noted that he also doesn't see any of these new features in his Apple Music. He didn't get the launch day card explaining all of the new stuff, and "Start Sharing With Friends" isn't in his settings.

Hoping to see if anyone else has this stuff missing from their AM app on iOS 11? Any theories as to why it might be missing? (FWIW my iMac and iPad mini both have all of these features, just my iPhone is acting up)

It's all there for me.. Try looking in "for you" page. There was a tile there that said start sharing.

If you have no social elements available when you tap your avatar it's because you've blocked Apple Music "Connect" in Restrictions. Go to Settings - General - Restrictions and re-enable.

I had the same problem :)

Set up my 10 year old son's iPad mini with iOS 11 and he, too, doesn't have any of the profile features. Restrictions are on, but I've allowed Profile and Connect (or whatever it's called). Wondering if there is an age restriction for the Apple Music social features?

You are an absolute saint! I totally forgot about turning off Connect. Toggled it back on and everything popped up. Thank you so much:)

So official word from Apple Support's twitter account is that Apple Music's social features on iOS 11 are not allowed on child iCloud accounts (ie, less than 13 years of age).
