Hi,

A while ago I switched pricing tier from the standard £10pm to the student £5pm tier. I lost all my music and after discussions with senior support managers and engineers it was inconclusive.

I now want to switch to the family tier but too nervous to make the change due to my previous experience and want to ensure I don't lose my library when I change tiers.

Spotify lists the following on their website:
"Keep your playlists
When you upgrade, all your saved music and recommendations come with you"

But Apple Music does not list anything about this.

I want to move forward so my family can have the music but don't now how to do this in the most safe way... Any suggestions? Is this a know issue? Is this normal behaviour?

I know you backed up your entire music library already, right? So there really isn't any risk, is there?

Thanks for the reply!

I have a time machine backup yes, but how does that work with a pure Apple Music iCloud library?
