I've subscribed to Apple Music for a few years now, and I've really liked being able to find the artists I like and their new albums. That's great.

However I listen to YouTube 90% of the time and it makes me question the relevance of Apple Music and paying for it. I love all the LoFi stations, chill out music, future garage and just generally tons of atmospheric music you can find. Also, it seems like any artist or song I want to find is on YouTube too, and the search is more intuitive.

Why does Apple Music 1) not even have anything comparable to the live stations, and it's a paid service. 2) not have a decent search focused on music, I get tons of irrelevant junk with every search?

I can use Apple Music on the go, and that's nice. I will never sub to a YouTube service for lot's of reasons, but I'm worried because I want Apple Music to be a great service but it feels stuck in a 10 year ago iTunes model or something I can't put my finger on.

If you don't sub to YouTube how will it be a good alternative? You don't care for ad? Apple Music is great if your music collections is already good since you can upload your music that streaming services might not have to it. And it's great for Apple Watch and HomePods. For casual listening ANY music streaming service will do.

Youtube pays artists the least out of every music service.

Apple Music pays artists the most out of all the major services.
