iPhone Apple Music / why doesn’t it sync between MacBook and phone?

So I added a bunch of songs to my library on my MacBook Air today.
Hours later and none of them are showing in my library on my iPhone.
Am I meant to add them on every device..?

Have you enabled Music in the iCloud sync options of iPhone?

Well it turns out im just an idiot and hadn't set the iPhone to sync the Library.
