Apple music will not open on iphone

When i click my apple music app it does not open.It just kicks out back to home screen. I noticed if i go to settings apple music it does the same. Any thoughts?

Try to sign out of your icloud account. Sign back in, restart.
After 3 hours chat with Apple, and another phone call.
The chat suggested i wait 48 hours for it to correct itself?!?!?!?
On the phone call they said that was ridiculous. i got offered 3 free songs. HAHA. How do i play them ?

I had this issue after upgrading from 10 to 11. It only resolved itself when I erased the phone and it set up without restore.
I have data free Apple Music streaming which runs all day, so it was worth the effort.
