Apple Music won't remember last played position

When my iPhone connects to my car over Bluetooth, it plays from the beginning of the first song listed alphabetically EVERY FRIGGING TIME I start my car. It won't remember and continue from the last played position!

Am I missing something obvious in the settings, or is the new music app just really stupid?

Mine does the same thing. And I don't use the Bluetooth I use the lightning cable.
