According to this article, Qualcomm’s aptX Lossless will support 16-bit / 44.1kHz lossless audio over Bluetooth.
Over Bluetooth, over Bluetooth, over Bluetooth!

Meanwhile Apple still say Bluetooth connections aren't lossless here.

Rolling out Lossless audio in Apple Music but not supported in Apple made headphones is out of sync, experience misalignment not Apple standard.
The question is: why still AAC bottlenecking the potential of Bluetooth?

Because Apple and Qualcomm don’t play nice with each other.

Sony’s LDAC codec is also much better than AAC but Apple won’t play nice with Sony either.

Apple wants to control EVERYTHING in their products and not pay any type of licensing fees to a third party. Until Apple comes out with a proprietary lossless Bluetooth codec you’re gonna be stuck with compressed AAC I’m afraid…
