I'm trying to get the local music from my iPhone 6 to my iPhone 7. If I subscribe to Apple Music, I understand I get iCloud music to store the music I own.

Can I subscribe, pull down my music to my iPhone 7 from the cloud, then unsubscribe from Apple Music. Would I still have access to my music on my iPhone 7?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There should be a option to download your song directly onto your phone
It shows up with a cloud and a arrow facing down

I love it! No more downloading music from YouTube for me considering I can download all the music I want for 10 a month and 3 months free!

No. if you unsubscribe, all of the music you've downloaded expires and will not play. If you keep the phone offline there is a period of time during which it will play, but unless your subscription can be verified within a short period of time, it's over.

What about iTunes Match. Would that work?

I'm pretty sure it does because I downloaded all the music I got with on my iPhone to my computer with the cloud
But actually download it from the cloud by clicking that thing I told you don't just stream it from wifi because you probably won't get to keep the music if you stream it over wifi

Thanks, think I'll try that.

If you have iTunes Match when you open your iTunes on your computer you have to go through the songs and click all the songs with a cloud beside them

iTunes Match is awesome, it even syncs my songs downloaded from YouTube.
It's a great thing to have if you have a Apple TV because you can't download music directly onto the Apple TV

Problem with YouTube downloads, is you don't get the album photo, and song info in all the right places so you have to go through and edit them on iTunes yourself if you want all the album info to show properly
Because the name of your song will show up as it's listed on YouTube

You need to use a computer to download from YouTube, then sync it to your phone.

Apple Music downloads just show up nicer in your music downloads
