Well Recently I was looking for digital TV platform and found that Apple is negotiating with iTunes streaming TV Rentals, I think it will be good news for Apple TV platform which is digital STB for us! I was found it:

If given the option of either renting an episode for $0.99 or buying it outright for $1.99 I would just buy it, at least then I can watch it as many times as I like in years to come.

Yup. The only way this would work is through subscription. Like Hulu Plus.

I'd happily pay $15 - $20 a month for endless streaming access to my favorite shows.
