Recently, about 2 days ago, apple news app stopped showing stories by macrumors, and many other channels. It is saying that the stories are not available for my region, which is set to United states. It is weird because I have been using it since first it started, and until 2 days ago it was going fine. My itunes store is set to Lebanon, but that has never been the issue as it has nothing to do with region settings. Wondering maybe if apple needs the store also to be set to US to allow apple news, or if it is a macrumors channel kinda thing.

I ran into the same issue. My Region is US but my ID is tied to EU.
It seems like they're ramping up for the subscription service and Apple News is now tied to your Apple ID instead of the Region Settings, rendering all good channels unaccessible.

Another point that supports this theory: The Apple News app on Mojave has been like this from the beginning, guess it was only a matter of time until iOS did the same.

I made the switch over to Google News for now :/

No thanks. Only works on Mac's. Really what is so great about Apple News when you can't even view in on a browser which means only Mac's and iPhones can access it.

No thanks I switched over to https://www.bing.com/news which works on all computers and mobile devices. I dropped Google News since it pushes clickbait, Indian crap and sites not even in English with old outdated news.
