You can't delete magazines if they auto download or you download them manually. I have no idea how Apple thought this was okay.

wow.
very user unfriendly.

i wonder if the way they have set it up "for us" is a result of some sort of marketing promise to content providers that the issue would be available for 30 days or something.

Yeah...came here to inquire about that. It's odd: auto downloaded issues (those you follow) delete after 30 days or sooner if your storage is tight, but manual ones can't be deleted. And it being an Apple app, not sure you can delete the app and start over, which would be a workaround.

Texture was great: you could manually download a bunch for the plane flight, then manually delete them afterwards.

Means I can only use it on macOS.

Seems pretty lame; what's the rationale for this????

EDIT: apparently one can delete the entire News app and it's data from an iOS device. Not as nice as being able to manage what to keep and what to delete on one's own, but something.

I love Apple everything but this definitely isn’t a good thing. If they were going to make the magazine portion better why not keep what was already in place. I purposely subscribed to Texture to save myself some money but also to get access to previous issues particularly the shelter magazines to study. They are only keeping them one year back? There were some publications that I could access back to 2012! Unless they keep what was already offered I will put my money elsewhere. I’d rather just keep the news subscriptions I already subscribe to also. I’m not an Android user but think it’s pretty low that they have chosen to alienate those customers. Apple has not done much wrong in all the years I have been a customer but this is definitely a blatant epic FAIL!!
