Apple News opening randomly

While using my iMac running Big Sur, Apple News keeps opening randomly. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any clues as to what might be causing it?

Just saw this behavior this morning. Anyone else? It seems to happen when the app refreshes, like Mail used to in Catalina.
