Anyone else noticing this? It is pinned at the top of my screen, along with Election 2020 and Coronavirus Special Coverage, as topics which cannot be removed. All other sources/channels of my choosing are below this.

I’ve tried removing this for weeks. No luck so far. WTF? Forced Brainwashing. It’s inconceivable that this is unintentional

Has any found a way to remove it?

Forced brainwashing from an iPad app? Get a grip. If it's tearing you up so bad then delete the app for God's sake. Or at least quit using it.

Just a side note: paying $9.95/month and yet News is plastered with ads - mostly "Ad Choice" which... shameful.

There's no way to disable news about politics and covid. Even though I'm clicking "suggest less like this" couple times a day, for weeks, or even months, whenever I open the News app, I see either Trump or pandemic as first couple news. I don't read these news on other services, so I don't know why Apple thinks I, or everyone else should be interested in these topics? Is there a way to stop this?

Apple News has been mediocre at best since the beginning.. Even if you block channels or content you still get articles that are on your block list.

As much as I try I just cannot adjust Apple news to my flat earth perspective. How dare they brainwash me with topics I wouldn’t pick myself. I’ll go back to Facebook to only read things I like.
