iPad Apple News will not load content

iPad Pro from 2019. Paid Apple News Subscription. News launches but does not load content. Just the spinning icon at the bottom of the screen. Current iOS 16.2. Works fine on iPhone and my Macs. i have restarted the app, killed and restarted, restarted the iPad, and have deleted the App and reinstalled it. None solve the problem. Any suggestions?

Sorry I can't help with your issue but I do wonder if they have some server bugs with their news app.

On my 13 mini the "top stories" no longer updates and just have news articles over a week old. This happened before and i restarted my phone which sorted it for a day and then the same has happened since...

What are your network speed test results when this is happening?

This happens to me on a fresh setup of an iPad. Just let the iPad continue to set up - I gave it about 15-20 mins, killed the News App and it was good to go for me. - This is the only “hey I’m having a similar experience” that I know of.

If I was you, I’d go to settings —> Apple ID —> iCloud —> Turn off iCloud for Apple News and give it a few mins - make sure app reflects this, then turn it back on. This has solved any news issues for me.

Well, after about 6 hours it finally loaded. This seems to be a big bug in their application. Weird.
