i ordered an imac g5 from the apple online store on friday, the order went through and then i changed my mind and cancelled the order 30 minutes later, (decided to wait a week for my paycheck rather than use credit) anyway today is monday and i find that my bank account is now £1800 IN DEBIT! not only have they charged me for a computer i dont want and cancelled, but they charged me for 2 computers i dont want and didnt order! Needless to say im pulling my hair out and dont know how im gonna pay my rent on the 1st as the refund will take 5-8 days according to apple. I love apple computers and ipods and stuff but this is taking the pi$$$.

regards

I say you call 'em up, work your way up the phone hierarchy, and calmly explain that their error, while understandable, is causing you financial strife, and might jeapordize your ability to buy a computer from them in the future. Maybe they'll find some way to band-aid your wounds. ;) :D

Haha. Unlucky!
Don't worry though. They'll have records of your cancellation and their dispatches, put 2-and2 together and see their error.
The trouble with lots of online ordering is that it's automated, so once the ball starts rolling (by clicking the order confirmation), there isn't a lot you can do to stop it straight away!

Don't worry - just give 'em a call.

jingle' jingle' (shakes can) "any spare change!"

If your bank charges you any overage fees, just ask apple to email you a letter saying that the computer was cancelled and they charged another temporary fee and it will be refunded in x days. Also, tell your bank about the situation and tell them about how you have to pay rent soon and you won't be able to afford it. They'll help you find a way to work around it.

Yeah, definitly call them, be polite, and don't settle for less than your money back by the time your rent is due. Mention to them that your rent is due, and if they can't get your money to you by then, insist that they include any fees you will incur from your landlord;) Also, talk to you landlord and give him/her a heads up, sometimes they're cool and don't worry about a few days. Unless it's a big complex or something:rolleyes:
