Apple not looking out for the little guy

In the face of Apple, why does Apple (and for that matter Microsoft...) only care about businesses.. ?

I mean, i know most of their money comes from, but consumers should have a part as well... After all, we do use Apple products too, therefore we should have a say as bugs issues found etc...

I know there's Apple's Feedback page, but Apple fixes stuff probably immediately for businesses/enterprises, and delays it for the consumer, only because they get most of their money..

which isn't right..... How much money would i have to give to Apple to make them listen to consumers ..?

How so, please provide some specific examples.

I've provided feedback to Apple on some things in the past and got responses, that tells me they're listening.

Apple is a very consumer facing company. They're main revenue is from consumer purchases not the enterprise so its surprising to see someone post that Apple is so business friendly and its ignoring the consumer

I recall hearing how many pros complained that Apple was too focused on the consumer and ignoring their needs (the long time span between the Mac Pro and now the nMP)

if it was so, then Final Cut X wouldn't be how it is, neither would we have waited that long for the Mac Pro.
For too long Apple was focused on the small consumer, due to the large profit on iOS devices and apps.

Despite the loaded title, it's only natural for a software or hardware vendor to pay special attention to big clients. It would be in a companies best interests. But that doesn't mean they neglect other clients.

That said I don't think many companies use macs, I mean Apple is marketed for consumers as an exclusive item. A lot of companies use software that only runs on windows and looks like it hasn't changed much since 3.1 and there is usually no alternative.

I never said no-one uses them. In my own experience companies often have floors and floors of dell workstations and such and the odd mac here and there devoted to some manager. Maybe they're more popular in the US but the price in the UK and the lack of software support makes them less than ideal as a disposable workstation. Most companies I have been involved with don't use macs at all. That said lots of professionals have iPhones.

You'll have to back that up, because Apple managed to destroy Final Cut Pro for "pro" video editors, and they stopped selling the Xserve. They don't allow old OS's to be installed on hardware, and don't provide any form of next-day on-site support. On a more personal level, I tried integrating a mac mini into a business environment, and due to a bug in the OS combined with the inability to install an older OS that did not have this bug, the official solution was to return the computer and buy an older refurbished model.

I ask you, what business/enterprise support?
