Apple not referring to iMacs as "Aluminum" anymore?

Most likely because the plastics should be out of the way for the most part by now. So it'll be the old Al and then the new Al.
As long as apple stays true to its green policy, we'll never see plastic casing again.
What's a lot more interesting is the Limited Time Special Price Could this be indicative of a pending update to the iMac line or are they just backlogged with refurbs?
That's my dilemma, buy the 20" 2.4Ghz for the new lower price of $1249 or wait for the next update, hedging my bets that it's soon. I'm leaning towards buy now since I don't think the next update will be a big one. Still, if the price drops by $100 and I could get a new 20" 2.6 Ghz 45nm iMac and any other small changes next week for $1399, I'd have wished I waited. Still, if the update is small, I'd probably rather save $250 anyway and still go for the refurb.

I think you answered your own question there. Refurbed is the way to go and right now, I cannot see a better time to buy a refurbed iMac. Think, you could use all that money you saved on 4GB RAM and an external 500GB HDD. Perfect!

Well then just wait the one week. I just bought my iMac this past Sat and my return date (14 days from purchase) is March 1st. I figure if there is any significant updates if at all I can return it and get the new model.
have I missed an update to the iMacs? I thought the current Al iMacs were the same as they where when introduced....
I have been paying close attention to the refurb store for the past few months to get a feel for the trends and when prices are lowered, etc. This is the first time I've seen the red 'limited time special price' - when is this usually used? How long does it usually last?
Above someone guessed that is when they have a glut of a certain model. My initial thought was clearing inventory for a refresh.
