OMG its the end of the world.. at least to my visa card

i just ordered 2

what a great deal

Meh. Not too big a sale, I would rather get refurb iMac to match my current one.

for $50-$100 more you can get a white or alu macbook from the refurb store. i think that is a far better deal compared to the mini.

The Mac Mini would be a better deal if you already have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. The Macbooks are good deals too.

even if i had a monitor/keyboard/mouse (actually I do) I would still buy the $849 whitebook over the $799 mini.

It has about the same performance (i have spare HD's) but can also serve as backup for my MBP in case my NVIDEA goes down and it is battery powered in case of a blackout.

Anyway, I can't understand why the mini costs about the same as the whitebook and has no battery, no screen, no keyboard, no isight.

But then you're stuck with a 13 inch screen in that price range. For a mini you buy a larger screen or output to tv

2.0 GHz WhiteBook 9400M G for US$749 refurbished. Portable 9400M G goodness and you get your input devices and LCD.

Don't forget you can upgrade it without a putty knife.

How? With MacBook you get portability and similar specs + it can be hooked to monitor as well.

So are you guys saying the Mac Mini is a bad deal?

I wonder when Apple will finally make the 2.26 GHz processor standard for the higher end Mini ???

The price difference between the two model really makes no sense to me for the slight difference in hardware spec - right now the low end model is a much better deal.

Refurb minis all 2.26 GHz

Unusually apple store UK has minis in the refurb store, this is news enough to us this side of the pond, but why are they only 2.26 GHz?

Anyone think this means anything?

That... the minis in the refurb are 2.26Ghz... ?

What kind of answer are you expecting?

Yeah, I noticed that too, although it's only £20 cheaper than buying it from the HE store (which then includes 3 yrs warranty).
