Hi All,

Relatively new here. Up until two weeks ago I owned a iPhone 5 and iPad Air...then something magical happened...and I am not sure what that is.

In the last two weeks I have purchased the following

Late 2012 Mac Mini (refurb)
- 2.3 GHz i7
- 4GB RAM
- 1TB HDD

Late 2013 rMBP 15" (refurb)
- 2.3 GHz i7
- 16GB RAM
- 512GB SSD
- 750M Graphics

Airport Time Capsule

Airport Express

I think I have an addiction...is this normal?? :):):)

I wouldn't say there is a problem. As long as you're happy with what you've bought, its fine.

If you're happy with the purchases, then why get worked up. I'm not sure why you went and got both a Mini and a MBP, but you didn't state your needs in the OP

Now you need to get an Apple TV for each television in the house. You have all this equipment and I can feel you because I do, as well. Experience handoff, learn how this all "just works." I love Apple because I don't have to be an IT professional to make it all work together.

I can certainly empathize with you about being Apple obsessed.

2 Apple TV (2nd Gen)
1 Apple TV (3rd Gen)
AirPort Extreme (4th Gen)
AirPort Time Capsule (5th Gen)
3 iPads (1st Gen / 3rd Gen / 4th Gen)
iPhones (5s & 6 Plus)
2 Mac Minis
3 Mac Pros
2 MacBooks
2 MacBook Pros
More PowerPC's than I want to count

If they are a good deal, I pick them up. I like gadgets and technology. The best thing about Apple equipment is that, it just works. I was eagerly awaiting the Apple Home Integration, but was disappointed. I will be standing in line for the Apple Watch.

Do I have more equipment than I need? Could I do with less? Certainly. But kanewtz, I say to you, if you want it, buy it. People will tell me that I don't need a computer in the kitchen. But once you have had one, it's hard to give it up. I don't think about it, I use it for music, movies, looking up recipes, multiple timers, etc. The one in my workshop? Same thing.

kanewtz, you bought some good equipment. It will work well together. The AirPort Express and AirPort Time Capsule are duplicating each other but you may have a reason for it, as I do.

I should also note that I buy most of my equipment through friends that are pawnbrokers so I don't pay retail.

I bought an iPhone in July of 2007. Five days later, I owned a 15" MBP.

IN 2008, I owned the new iPhone model, a black MacBook, a 15" MBP, a 2008 8 core Mac Pro and a 20" iMac.

I honestly didn't need all of those and could have kept on using the MacBook or MacBook Pro. I sold everything within a year and kept the iMac.

Now I just have a 2012 Mac Mini and a black MacBook that I rarely use.

As long as you're using it, there's nothing wrong. Worst thing is buying stuff only to have it sit around and never use it.

I am very guilty of this not just with computers. Most of my computers have a purpose. Do you ever find yourself carrying a computer from room to room? That's what I try and avoid. I installed a Mac Mini in front of my treadmill, seemed like a good motivator to get me on that thing. Another one went into my kitchen. Now, that one gets used a lot.

Do I need an Apple TV in the family room, my bedroom and DD12's bedroom? Probably not, but they do get used sometimes and I don't have to move them around and rerun any wires.

Over the years, I was a Windows person. I had no good things to say about Apple or Macintosh. I was one of those people that called it CRapple and Macintrash. Around 2007, I actually started using one. Then I bought one for my daughter. Before long, I discovered what everyone here already knows, Apple just works. There was no more syncing my Windows computer to my BlackBerry.

I believe that Apple makes our world simpler yet even more functional. Yes, I'm now a fanboy. There's only one sticker on the back of my Prius, it's an Apple.
