Received this e-mail from Apple today. It's in Portuguese, but self-explanatory: "Your-time, your games".

There you can see "arcEmu - Emulator by Arcadia".

What do you think about this?

Telling that they recommend a paid unknown emulator over something free like Delta...
Nailed it in one.

Apple is only actually interested in things that make them money. They'll lose interest in emulators (and, for the 30th time, games) the moment they find some other software hard-on they think will make them more money.

As an emulation enthusiast (particularly old Commodore machines: C64, Amigas, etc.), I'm enjoying getting favorite old platforms of mine working on a new device. But I have no misconception that Apple has any real interest in celebrating a hobby of mine that gives me yet more reasons to side-step spending money on their precious and unnecessary App Store.

So nice to play all my nintendo games (I proudly own the physical copies), on RetroArc, Dolphin, Cemu and Ryujinx!
Even switch games runs very well on my basic M2 MacBook Air.

On M2 Max we can easily get 4k60 on switch games, even with graphics mods...

I think Apple is making Nintendo very angry...

More like grateful. Apple's silly ban on JIT for non-web browser apps means it's not really feasible to do GameCube+ era systems on iOS. There's a 3DS emulator but it has terrible performance because of no JIT. Meanwhile on Android much weaker phones than the iPhone 15 can run Dolphin and Citra at full speed.
