Apple online and phone order services unavailable

Could this be related to a product update? I configured a 15" MBP early last week. I have canceled this order in hopes that there will be something new in the works this week. Any thoughts on this? Am I over analyzing the sitution?

Both the German and the US sites are available now, MacPro was not updated. I do not know what they changed (I doubt you will see another MBPro update by now... maybe January)

The main online orders page is functional, when I try to view the accounts page, it comes up unavailable due to maintenance. It's been this way since Saturday.
