Hi all,
With all the WWDC hype (rightfully so), no one seems to have posted that Apple have released a "Hard Drive Update 1" firmware update for many G4 machines, including:
- Power Mac G4 Cube
- Power Mac G4 (AGP Graphics)
- Power Mac G4 (Digital Audio)
- Power Mac G4 (Gigabit Ethernet)
- Power Mac G4 (Quicksilver)
I believe it is for IBM hard-drives, but it tells you if it's required when you run it. It supposedly improves the longevity of these hard drives.
Just a warning, there have been two reports on versiontracker.com of it making the drives inaccessable in OS X, so backup first.
