I found an old (2001-2002 not sure) Paper certificate from Apple, I wonder if it can be worth anything.

Any clue?

Contact the Apple Investor Relations team (you can find their info on apple.com) and they can direct you. Most liklely the paper share was converted to an electronic share that is with Computershare.

Planning on doing that, but wondered if it is worth more the piece of paper or the actual stock.

One share of Apple is currently $186, I'd probably be willing to pay $200.
Well considering the paper stock is from. 2000 I’d say it is worth more ( I don’t know if it can be converted ) it should have been splitted a couple of times.

The paper certificates have been cancelled and replaced with electronic; which should have happened long ago for that paper copy. It is not worth anything as a share, solely as a collectible. You could contact Apple Investor Relations to verify if your specific certificate was replaced with electronic or expired due to non-contact.
