Apple Pay Canada - Merchants that work

Just got my Amex added and thought I would start off a list of Stores that work.
Please update more Merchants/Stores which work with Apple Pay in Canada.

Tim Hortons
Starbucks
McDonalds (they even advertise in menu screens)
Whole Foods * possibly only some locations
Reitmans
Panera Bread
Shell Gas Stations (inside)
Petro Canada
Red Robin Restaurant

So far...

Save On Foods (this only in BC and Alberta - I'm in BC) - they made me sign a receipt though but otherwise was fast

Tim Hortons - worked perfect

Save on Foods (BC) didn't work for me at the self check-out. Just says card not accepted when I try to tap with the watch.

The Starbucks app allows reloading using Apple Pay now with the latest Starbucks app update. Has anyone tried to reload using Apple Pay?

I don't think Amex works IN-App at the moment...

Nope not for me anyways. I get an error stating to use another form of payment.

Whole Foods doesn't support Amex tap to pay. (Apple Pay)! At least in Markham hwy 7 location.

The cashier told me after I tried!

My local subway doesn't accept Apple Pay. Or they don't accept Amex. Next time I'm there I'll try tap to pay with my Amex card instead of Apple Pay.

not sure if this was brought up before, but I used my Amex apple pay in Canada on a TD point of sale machine at Longo's and it went thru.

Looks like the TD pos supports Apple Pay finally. So Apple Pay might be coming and TD posted on Twitter to check for updates on their web site for any new mobile payments solutions.

Let's hope.

FWIW, I was able to pay for my parking at the airport in London with my Capital One VISA via Apple Pay.

Oh, and it's a United States-issued Capital One VISA, too.

Also successfully paid with my U.S. MasterCard (USAA - a military bank) at Timmy's in London and the ones at the OnRoute centres on the 401 between London and Windsor. New York Fries at OnRoute also accepted my U.S. MasterCard.

Just tried to add Apple Pay to my Capital One MasterCard for about the fifth time. Turns out Capital One is still in the dark ages. Annoying when Canadian Tire MC and American Express register perfectly. Stuck with Capital One because of the exclusive deal with Costco. Really dumb to be held so far back on Costco's part.

Annoying when Canadian Tire MC and American Express register perfectly. Stuck with Capital One because of the exclusive deal with Costco. Really dumb to be held so far back on Costco's part.

Same with CIBC petro points MasterCard.

Still can't add it. Supposedly there is an issue with petro points but 8 months you'd think they would fix the issue by now. NO!
