Apple Pay card limit

If you're referring to how much you can spend in one transaction it doesn't have any thing to do with Apple or iOS. It's down to individual retailers to update there payment systems and decide what upper limit they want to set.
If you mean the number of maximum cards permitted in the Wallet app I think it's now 10 but as I don't have 10 qualifying cards I can't verify that information.

u have more than 9 Credit/Debit cards ? . using them as fall-over to pay the others back only bring this to mind..
My parents have 5 visa cards and while i don't know exactly what she does with them, i can only guess this. WHy else would u have so many?

Most of them sit in a drawer at home these days but when first gotten, they served their purpose (best rewards for my needs at the time). Since it doesn't cost money to keep them open, why not?
EDIT: I also have more than one debit card.
Could be but many people will work the rewards systems associated with the cards and use the cards to buy everything. Many of the cards stop providing the rewards at a fixed quarterly dollar amount. You earn your full credit then move to the next card as you make your day-to-day purchases. Some people can keep up with the limits and work the system, I can't/don't. I just have one card but I can see how it would be a benefit like using coupons, something else I don't do but should.
