I've had the Apple Pay Cash card show up in my wallet. Has anyone else had this?

It first appeared for me last year sometime when a slew of countries also saw the option.

It sometimes appears if you change the region to United States but disappears again once you revert to United Kingdom.

Appeared on my phone for first time. Updated to new beta. Region has always been UK.

Ah right okay. Mine was set up for UK only last year when it appeared then it disappeared in a iOS update this year sometime.

Changing the settings to United States left it as an option in Wallet & Apple Pay but it’s disappeared again now.

Came up on mine when updated my phone to the latest beta today, also there’s now a Travel Express Card option in Apple Pay settings

I’m on the latest non beta update, I have travel card settings but no Apple Pay Cash... I do wonder if it’s ever going to arrive in the uk.

Why do people think Apple Pay Cash is needed in the UK? Surely in the USA it solved a problem with their antiquated baking systems, but over here we have instant free bank transfers, paym etc?

Genuine question. What advantages would it bring?

I agree. I suppose the only reason is that people can transfer money to you without having to know your bank details. To be honest, I cannot see many people using it in the UK. I do not think I will bother.

For me it would mean I use use Apple Pay Cash to send money to people with a compatible iOS device without having to log into Internet Banking.

Plus you can store a balance on it and use it over a credit/debit card if you wish.

I know we have a fair few options but other then Faster Payments I’ve never bothered with PayM personally.
