Apple Pay coming to the UK very soon?

I've noticed that when you try and add UK cards to Apple pay now on many of my cards it says the card couldn't be added at the current time and to try again later whereas in previous weeks and months it said the Issuer wasn't supported. When you try and add a UK American Express card you now even get an email from Amex UK saying their was a problem adding the card and to call them ASAP.

An article was published by The Telegraph yesterday (storymon 9to5Mac about it) suggesting an announcement may be made at WWDC with Lloyds and Santander as launch partners.

I'd love Apple Pay to come here, but I have a feeling Nationwide won't be supporting it for a long time...

Looking forward to Apple Pay coming to the UK. Lloyds is my main bank as well, which is good news.
