Is this a recent change? I can't use Apple Pay in the Target mobile app seamlessly like I used to before. That is, I'd find something in stock i'd like then choose "ship it" or the instore pickup option and directly see ApplePay as an option. Now there is only an "add to cart" option and if I want to "checkout" I seemingly need to have a Target account. That's regardless of in the mobile app or on the website.

Anyone know, was this account requirement / (stupid) removal of convenience a result of their launch of that new Target mobile app "Wallet" thing or whatever?

Never knew Target supported Apple Pay in-App or in Store. But, yes probably with the recent change. Wish they would support it. Their terminals are the slowest of anywhere I shop.

Yeah, I know, I mis-phrased that. Had to harass the managers just to get my LoopPay Fob to work there. Don't do on-line with target. Mostly in-store general merchandise. Paper products, cleaners etc. No Apple Pay there sucks. I buy a lot. Their new system sounds complicated. Th best non-Apple Pay app I like and use all the time is Scan & Go at Sam's. No waiting in line at checkout. Love it---
