I just had an odd Apple Pay issue. I went to buy something...only $1.95. The phone gives me the check symbol and makes the beep sound that the payment is successful and the payment shows up on my phone under my credit card. The cashier said it didn't go through. I call the credit card company and they said it didn't go through. Why does it show up as paid in my wallet but it didn't actually go through? Now I'm super thirsty bc I am not going to pay twice and couldn't confirm quickly enough and had to leave. Has anyone had that happen before? I have never had it show up on my phone but not go through.

I've had this happen a few times during the early stages of Apple Pay being rolled out here in the UK. The second try was always successful in my experience. And the first transaction eventually just vanished from under my card in my wallet since it didn't go through.
In an EMV mode contactless transaction, the amount of the transaction is passed to the phone as an input when it generates the authorisation cryptogram. The amount (along with the currency code) will display on the phone in Wallet as the last transaction, but will not have the merchant name (will simply show Payment or the location). So that is likely what you are seeing.
I have been experiencing a different issue but wanted to post to see if anyone knows how to fix it. I use an Amex with Apple Pay and i am not getting any pop up notifications or seeing any transaction history within the wallet app. All i can see when pressing on the card within the wallet app is "payment" and 18 minutes ago for instance.
I used to get notifications with the same card and see transaction history. I have deleted and added the card back to apple pay. I even restored the phone and nothing. Same issue. I called Amex and they see everything in order on their end. They say it is an Apple Pay problem.
Is anyone experiencing this problem?

For anyone reading this. I had to restore the phone and set up as new to fix the issue. Not sure exactly what was the issue with my backup, but something was "corrupting" Apple Pay with my Amex cards.
I noticed on my bank app £9.99 iTunes payment but iv neva used it I joined by accident well I pushed the wrong button and canceled wivin 10mins I sin it sed I wudt b charged if canceled wivin so many days but I did it asap will I get that money back they can check iv neva used iTunes I did get an email but unsure I kept it
