Currently using Apple Pay on my iPhone 11 ... two credit cards. Do I need to remove these cards from my Wallet/Apple Pay before I buy an iPhone 12, or will that stuff come back when I sign into iCloud on the new device?
 
You don’t need to remove them from your account, but you might need to re-add them when you change phones. Or re-verifying least.

It is best that you remove them or do a factory re-set to erase on your iPhone 11.

Your credit cards will need to be registered to you new device since the credit cards are uniquely tied your the individual device (e.g. serial number).

I don’t think iCloud is involved except for an encrypted backup. Even restoring a backup on an existing or new would require registering on the same device.
 
I was just setting up my new phone and the card info was stored, but I had to re-verify the cards to add them to Apple Pay. One of them would not work though, it just keeps saying "Card could not be added. Contact issuer for more info." It's the card I have always used and the info hasn't changed so I don't know what's up. Anyone had that happen?

Did you ever find a solution? I've been having this problem for the past 24 hours. I'm trying to add a Bank of America debit card to my Wallet on my MacBook Pro, my iPhone SE, and my Apple Watch Series 3. Bank of America says everything is fine on their end. Apple says everything is fine on their end. And yet I'm stuck.

Apple says everything is fine on their end. And yet I'm stuck.
I called Chase and they had me install their own Chase mobile pay app, once I did that I was then able to add the card to Apple Pay. No idea why I had to do it that way but it worked. It was something on their end I think.
