It seems that after upgrading to Monterey, Apple Pay stopped working on my MacBook Air M1. It says that security settings were modified, but I haven't changed a thing after upgrading. The link to the Apple website did not have any solutions for me.

Also, the lid of you MacBook has to be open for Apple Pay to work.
Discovered that for me the system data and security files need to be enabled under the advanced tab in Software Update settings. Did you check that? View attachment 1950158
Yes, I checked that and no change. But now I removed one card and immediately added it back to the list. After doing that, all three cards were usable again. Go figure.
'Install system data files and security updates' was ticked on but ApplePay wasn't allowed. After clicking it off and on again ApplePay was then allowed.
