I've used Apple Pay without any issues at POS terminals, but I've just tried to use it to make a purchase through the Apple Store app and encountered a problem. When I try to make the payment by Apple Pay, a screen pops up with my billing address, shipping address, contact details and payment amount, but my shipping address shows in red with a big exclamation mark at the side of it. There's a another big red one at the bottom with "Shipping Address" written underneath. I've re-entered my home shipping address several times, it's the address my card is registered to and it's also the same as my billing address (which Apple Pay happily accepts), but there's no way of progressing the payment and the app gives no indication why it doesn't like my shipping address.

I even tried putting different addresses in as the shipping address, but still no dice. The rejection seems to be instant as well, so I don't think it's checking anything with the card issuer.

Any ideas?

I've had the same problem the other day trying to use Apple Pay with just eat. shipping address was highlighted red. Ended up just using my bank card to pay.

Apple is very particular on address vs. what is on file. Can't have periods or abbreviations on one and not the other
