I have my new iphone 12 yesterday and migrated from my old iphone 7. Everything is ok, apart from the Apple Wallet migration. I can migrate 6 of my 7 cards but one Amex card fails to activate. I had three Amex cards on my wallet, two are easy to restore the last one and being my most used one doesn't want to activate after I select it and try to activate it by providing the code the system states that the card is already installed in wallet.

Yet all the cards have been deleted from the wallet. I have tried numerous things to get the card to activate and install but nothing seems to work. I contacted apple support but they couldn't provide a solution. I contacted Amex but they said there is nothing wrong with the account or the card and that none of my cards (which was correct) have been installed and activated on the apple wallet at present.

I can't understand if I have removed all the cards from the wallet and am able to reinstate all bar one what the issue is, what do I need to do to rectify this issue?

Is that one tied to Apple Pay or Apple Store?

Had that issue with a Chase CC and ended up haveing to remove and replace all to get all to work.
Was going froma 11 ProMax to a 12 ProMax.

Apple Pay wallet

I don’t have it on my apple store account.

how do you fully remove them? When I go to the wallet it still remembers the cards from before and just asks me to enter the 3 digit security number only.

All those activate apart from this Amex card. It just errors already in the wallet which it is not.
