iPad Pro Apple Pencil 2nd Gen arrives way before iPad. What happens to the battery of it?

Hey there. I'm currently very new to this iPad Pro and Pencil era. So I just wanted to ask and make everything clear. I just bought an iPad Pro 11". But like any other location it gives the arriving dates 3-4 weeks later. But my pencil is said to arrive this week. I have no chance to open, try or even charge it up. I wonder what would happen if I wait to open the pencil until iPad arrives? Does its battery last until that time? Or would happens if it goes %0 before I have the chance to charge it? Has anyone experienced something like this? Thanks!

Its obviously gonna last man, Apple wont charge it and send it to you in 3 days, it has been kept in their warehouse for god knows how many months also the electronic gadgets piled up, going by this logic everything which comes to the customer is battery dead..

Its doesn't work that way, i am not a very tech guy but these lithium batteries or whatever used inside these gadgets just don't discharge on their own..

When I returned my ipad pro 11 last summer, I kept my pencil 2 since I had bought it for a third of the price used... I have checked it a couple of times is some shops and it's still charged after a year....

You have nothing to worry about. Batteries aren't as temperamental or fragile as people sometimes seem to think. Consider that when you buy a device in the first place you have no idea how long its battery has been sitting in it unused. A few more weeks won't cause any harm. Even if it's fully depleted by the time your iPad arrive, just charge it and it will be fine.

I think your primary concern will be - does my Pencil work properly??? Clearly you'll be beyond the 14 day return limit if you get the tablet and realize your Pencil is broken or something. I'm sure Apple will support you but I'd be more worried about that than the battery.

This morning I was on the phone with an Apple employee. Told my concerns about it. She said everything is fine they know I couldn't test or try the pencil before my iPad arrives. So in any case of problem, they said they will do everything to satisfy customers needs. So everything seems fine I just need my iPad to arrive 😂
