Anyone else have this issue? It seems every time I try to use the Apple Pencil it lags like it takes a second to kick in and as a result I only get half a letter and have to go back over it. The feeling is a lot like a pen which is running out of ink and you have to go back over your signature to fill in the blank spots where no ink came out.

I noticed I have no issues with pixlr, and I didn't have an issue with Adobe fill and sign with the sign function. But PDF Max was doing it all the time and Procreate sometimes does it.

Using my finger to draw does not lag so I feel it's either the Pencil or the digitizer layer on my iPad (I hope not since that's the more expensive thing to remedy).

I should clarify when I say lag I mean it actually misses that part of the line or letter or whatever I am trying to draw it's not just lagging behind where the pencil is to catch up later but it actually misses some parts of the line.

Have you screwed in the tip on the Apple Pencil in firmly? Sometimes it does that when it gets loose but once I screw it in properly it's fine :)

It occasionally happens to me. My use for the Pencil is primarily writing in Notability or highlighting and writing in Documents. Maybe once every few days I'll have it where a stroke starts and then suddenly seems to stop; it may take a second or three before input from the Pencil registers again. The battery life is fine, and I checked just now and can confirm that my Pencil's tip is not loose. I think these issues only started after 10.2, as they're fairly new to me. However, they're infrequent, and that is despite doing quite a bit of writing and highlighting during the day.

I think it might be more app compatibility issue because it doesn't do it at all in Pixlr when I go into Paint mode. It responds right away all the time. Procreate does do this issue once in awhile but it seems like PDF Max just really does NOT like the Apple Pencil. I was hoping it would be a good app to sign documents but I guess the Adobe fill and sign app is just as good for signing but it doesn't have the highlighting / markup options. Procreate however should NOT have this issue!!!

Wasn't there an article about the Tips wearing down or becoming problematic? I thought Apple sells replacement tips if this would be an issue.

Yup I think there was :)

It’s got nothing to do with the tips. I went to iOS 11, the bug drove me mad from beta 1 to 5, reverted back to 10.3.3, and thought I’d give beta 10 a go today....and the bug is still there !!!!!!

It’s not the nibs, it’s iOS....the lag only happens when your palm is on the screen...seems ios11 is in favor of the new iPad.....infuriating to say the least.
