Honestly I think the Lucrin one looks very high end and the other no so. Lucrin's comes in a wide range of leathers and stitching options and the piece is sewn on both sides lengthwise, plus they use real leathers not microfiber PU (I think that's the same stuff those $5-10 watch bands from China use--bought one off ebay because I liked the color and threw it out, very plastic feel to it and very heavy chemical off-gasing). The Lucrin is definitely a nicer quality product and I would expect it to run more. I can see people looking for a less expensive alternative though and the material type and quality and labor factor into both.

I'm sure there are lots of different styles of cases out there, seen some with flaps, and it will depend on what you like and feel comfortable paying for. I will say the opening on that Amazon one above looks pretty wide and I'd be concerned the Pencil would fall out easier (broken Pencil $99).

BTW if you choose the smooth leather option (cowskin) on the Lucrin case the cost is $37 and you still get a wide range of color choices. More exotic materials +$.

Lucrin does some beautiful Apple Watch bands, and see that they now have a leather Apple Pencil Case.

Honestly, $58 is the cheapest case to hold a $99 item, which itself has been described as overpriced. Don't get me wrong, I own the pencil, and I have an expensive watch, so I'm not afraid to spend money, something that is far too well known around my place, but we are talking about a 1 inch by 8 inch piece of died leather, with some thread, and I could get the price up to $258.00 without engraving or anything.

No, this is overkill

$37 and a nice quality red leather? I don't consider that overkill for something that looks better than something that looks like I sewed up on my old sewing machine. But sure everyone has their idea of what is worth the price asked.

I haven't felt the need to put the pencil in any kind of case.

I use my iPP around the house mostly (wifi version) and so far have been keeping my Pencil in the box it came in. I will probably take it outside on the patio since the weather is getting nicer and really thinking that a case of some sort would be nice to have for protection when not in use. Like my Watch not something I had to have but nice to have all the same.

Where do you store you Pencil then, if you are on the go?
I'm afraid it could be broken in my bag because there are many other stuff (a big key chain, wallet, dog treats, ...) in there and there is no extra place where I can put the pencil in. Or am I just being paranoid?
My first stylus (just a simple Bamboo) with a soft tip broke really fast in my bag.

Red case looks to soft.
Pen may still get damaged when carried with other items.
Is the object to look nice or protect cap and tip?
As for the higher price cases might as well get a second pencil as backup at those prices.
It seems whenever Apple is involved, third parties feel free to gouge.

But I do thank you for sharing.

I ordered this just yesterday, but the shipment is set for 20th feb - 10th march. Really looking forward to it.

Does anyone have this or pictures of it?
Mine arrived today and I am really pleased with it. Looks exactly how it does in the AMazon pics.

I have a neoprene laptop case I keep the iPad Pro in and the pencil goes in the front pocket when not in use.
