Apple Photos: Adding Photos to Shared Albums?

I can open Apple Photos for iOS, tap Albums, tap a shared album, and yap the "+" to add photos to the album. Is that the only way to add photos? If I select one or more photos from my "All Photos" album, and tap "Share to Album" from the share menu, no shared albums are displayed. Same with the "Add To" button. Curious why this is.

Update: So, according to Apple, I need to be using the Shared Albums button in the middle section of the share menu, not the "Share to Album" or "Add To" buttons. Guess this resolves my issue.
