Apple Photos Memories - how does it work?

Hi,

How does Apple Photos memories work? I clicked on a face, scrolled down and it proposed me a souvenir, I clicked on it, hit played, it seems to have compile and played it. It was good... Went to do other stuff in photos, went back, that memory is gone and I can't find it into Memories either. Is it creating one, then deletes itself...?

edits: I supposed that once it played it, I should have clicked add to memories at the bottom of that page...?
