Apple really needs to organize the app store.

I hate browsing 68+ pages of "utilities" looking for a specific type of app.

These can easily be broken down into sub categories like password generators, speed dialers and list apps.

What’s with the pages of the same app called "call Tom" or "call Jill"?

The store is only getting bigger and harder to browse!

LOL ... agreed! Someone should release an app just to search the App Store ... the Find App app ... anyways, I've been hearing this complaint/request all over the web and so hopefully Apple is aware of it and will make some revisions shortly ... who knows, maybe an announcement at MacWorld ;)

They are definitely aware of it. Hope that gets fixed and you can sort the apps you purchased/downloaded in itunes as well

I think MacRumors should create another forum just for Promo Codes since they're filling up the App Store forum.

Yea but most people browse by the app store, not some external sites...

Should give this a try, bcuz the BUY button will really lead you to apple store for purchasing.

and all the missing features, well most, can be handled by one simple tool if you use the above alternative appstores: its called bookmark ;)

I couldn't even click the sort button in safari/iPhone on that 'appstore organizer' website. Boo!

In keeping with the theme of the CRapp Store, I propose a developer make an app to browse the store. It would have a toilet where you could drag app icons so you never have to see them again while browsing.

How about a Mafia forum as well?

I think MacRumors should create another forum just for Promo Codes since they're filling up the App Store forum.
For a few days the it seemed like 8 of the first 10 posts were about the mafia games!

It would also be good if we could organise the apps in iTunes too. I just have one massave window full of apps - would be good to sort them by category or something, maybe have some views other than icon too

Yes, that would be great as well

I have some that I don't currently use, but still want to keep, and the ability to move those off would be great.
Also, I would like to sort the apps by page on the iPhone, but do the actual setup in iTunes. Then let iTunes "configure" the iPhone the way I want them displayed.

This would be awesome. Not only entertaining, but very useful!

In all seriousness ... you can kind of do that with the iFlush Toilet app ... load pic from camera roll into app and watch it get flished down the toilet ... not a perfect solution, but fairly close?
