Apple Podcast app keeps downloading episodes...

I don't use the Podcasts app on my Mac that much, but I launched the app tonight and have 'Automatic download episodes' active. I have since turned it off. I have even unfollowed some podcasts I no longer listen to. It keeps downloading episodes.

Is it possible it's doing that because at the moment I launched the Podcasts app, it told my computer to download ALL those episodes?

There are two settings–an overall preference setting for the default behavior, and individual podcast settings. The individual can override the default.

I get that. Everything is set for the default setting.
