I am talking about the podcast app on newer Macs, which replaced iTunes and has a square, mauve logo. Yesterday's update rendered downloaded podcasts unable to be dragged and dropped to desktop! They still play, and many can be sourced from the providers' sites, but it is a big inconvenience. Am I missing something, or is there any resolution?

If not, kindly suggest the best, free podcast service for Mac computers which permits saving. Thank you in advance.

Big Sur 11.3 revamped the podcast app's appearance. It also blocked the previous drag-and-drop function to save downloaded files to desktop. So I have no way of writing to SD card to play elsewhere. Everything else works as before.

Is there any workaround to save the podcasts to Mac, otherwise kindly suggest another app which permits saving, preferably free. I can only think Apple is protecting copyright on podcasts now.
