I recently got 4 x 3TB SAS drives plus a 2009 Mac Pro RAID card.

Is it true that size limit is 2.2TB for SATA drives but not for SAS drives? Anything confirmed?

2.2 TB for SATA? I have 14 TB Drives inside my Mac Pro.

Yes it's because of the  Mac Pro RAID card which max supports 2.2TB SATA drives, but some on this forum have stated that this doesn't affect SAS drives. I just wanted to be sure..
