I just ordered a 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme with 2GB memory.

I noticed you could upgrade to 4GB of Ram....for an extra 700 dollars!

Is there only 2 ram slots available?
Do I know have to get rid of my old 2GB(2x1g) and buy another 4GB (2x2g)?
Why is it that apple charges an extra 700 dollars just for 2 GB of ram?

I'm kind of confused and wondering why there's such a ridiculous price for something you can get at 1/4 of the price?
PS: Are there any good Canadian sites for Ram?

Simply because Apple has always charged a ridiculous amount for their RAM prices. Just buy RAM from a good third party.

I think they charge for the price of the RAM, then add profit, then add labor as well all in one go......because they can
