Is it just me or is this section of the Apple site just useless now?

I'm trying to find an iMac 5K with a 1TB SSD. Ok, cool. So I filter it by "iMac" and "27"" and then under capacity I pick "1TB". That's going to catch 1TB Fusion Drives as well as SSD, but whatever, fine.

But then I look and 1) the machines are not sorted by price at all, even though that's what I picked. And 2) that "capacity" filter just doesn't seem to have been applied at all.

And to make matters even worse, the design of this is so crappy that you have to click into each and every listing (and there are a lot) to see the details.

The previous design of the refurb site was MASSIVELY more useful than this.

Anybody know of any alternate ways to look through Apple refurbs without opening 1 trillion tabs?

Ooh, you're right.

You're… obviously exaggerating with "useless" and "one trillion," but the specifics about the filters not being applied deserve to be sent as feedback.

No, I meant "one trillion"

And "useless" isn't far off when you're looking at an unsorted grid of a few dozen iMacs and you have to click into every single one and then expand the "details"... just to see what kind of storage it has. Just terrible.

I think it's all the more galling because the previous version was very easy to use and let you see all the details on one screen.

You're right. You know what? Forget my suggestion that you should send feedback in hopes of prompting Apple's employees to review the code – you should probably never buy another Apple product because of this. In fact, start another thread on the forum called "goodbye Apple." That sounds like the appropriate and honourable course of action, and one that would resolve both your frustration and the site's technical shortcomings.

I mean, not to be too cynical here, but when I saw that I figured it was done on purpose so that people would give up and just go buy new...

Haha, it sure seems like they're making us work for that discount!
