I just got an Apple TV, and I absolutely love it. And the simplicity of the remote is great - I just have one question, and I think it's some kind of glitch.

When I hold the menu button to return to the home screen, it returns to the home screen, but it ALSO raises the volume on my TV. I'm just curious..could this be interference with my TV remote? Is it something else? Anyone have any idea?

My TV is an LG 32LS3400, 32" 720p, and I just have the default TV remote that came with it LG AKB73655806. I don't know if any of that information is relevant, or if more might be necessary.

If anyone has any idea what might be causing the volume to raise when I hold in the volume button on the Apple Remote, I would appreciate to hear what the problem might be! Thanks in advance.

it may be that the code for the 2 commands are similar. hold the menu and center button for 6 seconds, this changes the ID on the remote. If you've paired the aTV with the remote, this will break the pairing.
if the remote stops working, hit menu and left for 6 seconds this will unpair the remote.

each apple remote has an ID (0 - 255) that it sends when you hit a button, so when you hit play it really sends "play 203".
Pairing causes the receiver to only listen to that ID, it changes nothing in the remote itself.
