You know what I was wondering though?

Ok, so in the new iPad videos that were shown on Apple.com the other day they touted the iPad as a docked music station solution. Just dock it to your stereo in your living room. So will the iPhone remote app be able to control iPod.app that looks a lot like iTunes on the iPad? I know it would probably require an updated app for iPhone, but didn't they do something similar with the Apple TV? You just pair it with the numeric code on the iPad and you're good to go. If not April 3rd, soon.

There'll be Remote.app for iPad. The iTunes 9.1 confirmed that, in the settings for the Remotes, it said Search for "iPhone,iPod and iPad remotes".

Maybe I should clarify: I'm wondering if the iPhone Remote.app will be able to control the iPad iPod.app when it is connected to a sound system? Say you leave your iPad docked in the living room to your sound system during the day and want to be able to control it from the couch or the other room. Can the iPhone control it?

I know that probably nobody knows right now, but its an interesting idea. Surely this will happen eventually. I don't have my Mac hooked up to my big sound system in the living room, just to my small Bose computer speakers in my office. I also don't have an airport express. So if I leave my iPad docked in the living room anyway, I'll probably hook it up to my sound system. Controlling it from my iPhone would be nice.

This would be a very interesting app. I think a vital app will be the Keynote Remote.app so that people can control iPad's keynote from the iPhone. With the lack of an IR port (don't mean it as a complaint) an update to the iPhone remote app is a necessity.
