Firstly, I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right place.

Anyway, I have to take my PB in to apple for repair and I've been reading a lot of horror stories in MR about products coming back full of scratches and dents.

I've kept my PB in mint shape for the last 2 years and it would make me cry if my first dent/scratch came from apple.

So I'm wondering how frequent are these problems? I mean, is this the happening only 5% of the time and we just read about it a lot, or is it just a normal side effect of bringing it in from repairs? I mean, I would think that the techs would be the kind of people that would respect other people's property... but I could always be wrong................

I just recently had my macbook taken into the genious bar to replace the heat sync. When I got it back the only noticable thing was the smug marks from his hands, which came off with a good rub. Hope that helps.

Yeah, it's reassuring that there have been repairs made where there weren't any mishandling.
